Biography

Based in Los Angeles, Gabriela Cobar is born first generation American of Latin American origin and raised in Northern California. She received her BFA with distinction from California College of the Arts in the winter of 2012.

Gabriela is a multidisciplinary artist working in painting, sculpture and set design. With each medium, she seeks to create various moments of curiosity, wild color combinations and overstimulating visuals. Whether it be through her use color, composition or how the objects or paintings are technically made, she's enthusiastic about transforming spaces and making surreal worlds.
